We are pleased to announce that our team at the University of Sussex has published their newest paper 'Factors influencing butterfly and bumblebee richness and abundance in gardens' in the journal STOTEN.
The paper investigated how the use of pesticides, urbanisation and habitat quality in domestic gardens can influence pollinator populations. The effect of pesticides were more pronounced in butterflies, where richness was reduced by 7% where pesticides were applied.
