Dr Cannelle Tassin de Montaigu

Postdoctoral researcher - University of Sussex

Cannelle is a post-doctoral researcher at the University of Sussex, specialising in ecotoxicology and conservation ecology. Her current research focuses on the impact of veterinary drugs (such as spot-on dog treatments) on the health of nesting tits.

Gavin Kellerman

PhD Student- UNIVERSITY OF EXETER

Gavin started his PhD research this autumn on recreational disturbances and songbirds, supervised by Dr. Sarah Crowley and Dr. Stuart Bearhop at the University of Exeter. The project aims to address the impacts of disturbances in woodland and shrubland habitats.

Dr Hugh Hanmer

Research Ecologist- BTO

Hugh holds a BSc Zoology (Hons) degree and an MRes in Environmental Biology from the University of St Andrews in Scotland as well as his PhD from Reading on the ecology of urban birds.

Dr Lucy Capstick

Research Ecologist- GWCT

Lucy is a research ecologist, now focusing on agricultural ecology with GWCT. Her current research is focused on pollinators and crop pollination. In particular, she is examining how flower-rich habitats in agricultural landscapes affect the number of pollinators and the pollination of field bean crops as part of the BEESPOKE project within the Game & Wildlife Conservation Trust.

Supervisor - MANCHESTER METROPOLITAN UNIVERSITY

Dr David Megson is currently a Reader in Chemistry and Environmental Forensics at Manchester Metropolitan University and co-supervises the endocrine disrupting chemicals PhD. He also works on pollution litigation cases as a Senior Environmental Consultant at Chemistry Matters (Canada).

Sarah gained her PhD from the University of Exeter in 2017, and worked as a postdoctoral researcher on the cats and their owners research project. Now she has progressed to become a senior lecturer at the University and supervises multiple students, including Gavin on the disturbance PhD project.
